THE LIVES OF OTHERS by Albert Ostermayer We come again and again face to face with betrayal...
Synopsis
East Berlin 1984 comes alive before our eyes through the story of a famous playwright Georg Dreyman and his partner, actress Christa-Maria Zieland who are monitored by the Stasi officer, Gerd Wisler after the indirect incitement of love-struck Minister Bruno Hempf. When the officer of the Stasi, as an uninvited “guest” and witness of the lives of others, begins to harbor feelings of sympathy for the unsuspecting couple, nothing can no longer remain the same.
